Welcome!

Hi and welcome to Balance With Joy. My name is Joy Ann King and I hope to bring balance to your life through my training in Reiki, EFT and years of spiritual research and growth. My intention is to bring you into a place of happiness and joy, free from physical and emotional pain caused by energy imbalance.

These energy misalignments can prevent you from reaching your personal potential by leaving you feeling unmotivated, depressed and bored. Beyond that, it can lead to serious physical health conditions, which only add to the problem.

But the good news for you is that you found me. And now help is just a phone call or email away. It is my sincere desire to help you reach your full potential in all areas of your life.

Energy Medicine is a term used for holistic healing therapies focused on manipulating the "life force" energy in your body to bring about balance, health and wellness. There are many different energy-based modalities that involve practitioners using hands-on techniques to rebalance energy. Other therapies involve non-touch or distant treatments. Specific areas targeted in these treatments are the aura, meridian points, and chakra centers. But other areas are treated for physical ailments as well.

As I got older and became a parent I realized that perhaps there was more to food than I was giving credit to.  I started … [Read More...]

Thinking Your Way to Better Health – Part Two

I eventually had the surgery and was blessed with surgeons who were willing to take a chance on me.  They removed my large intestine but performed a complicated series of surgeries that would mean I wasn’t stuck with a colostomy bag for the rest of my life.  The experimental surgery was a huge success and after six months of physical therapy I was able to go back to work. But going through a life threatening experience makes you think.  You think about your life in a completely different … [Read More...]

Thinking Your Way To Better Health – Part One

I worked 50 to 60 hours a week trying to make a better life … [Read More...]
