Energy Medicine is a term used for holistic healing therapies focused on manipulating the "life force" energy in your body to bring about balance, health and wellness. There are many different energy-based modalities that involve practitioners using hands-on techniques to rebalance energy. Other therapies involve non-touch or distant treatments. Specific areas targeted in these treatments are the aura, meridian points, and chakra centers. But other areas are treated for physical ailments as well.
When I was a kid, getting a time out was a punishment. If I didn’t eat my vegetables, finish my homework or clean my room, I was faced with the dreaded time out. I had the material things that society says “should” make you happy. And so I went about my life, with a smile on face, doing my best to keep up the appearance of … [Read More...]

I know through my work in holistic health and spirituality that I need to be accountable and own up to my actions, or lack thereof. So, in the spirit of taking responsibility for myself, it felt fitting that I deal with grief in this blog post. I lost my Grandmother recently and although we shared a close relationship when I was … [Read More...]
Have you ever stopped to consider the importance of the words you say to yourself? Think about it. When you say something positive you feel good. When you say something negative you feel bad. Words have energy behind them so it’s important to be mindful of how you speak, especially to yourself! Your words are an expression of your thoughts. I’ve already discussed how important thoughts are in an earlier blog post, so now let’s play with changing your vocabulary to allow more positive into … [Read More...]
